Lov'n my locs

My SL's are maturing nicely. Jane, my loctition was right, she said in about a week you will see a difference and start to like the look of them. Well it's been just over a week and I'm really starting to enjoy them. I curled them with sponge rollers a few days ago and at first I thought it looked a little grannie-ish but I sprayed them with some water and it looked much better. I've had some slipping of a few locks. I definitely would not be able to make it to 6 weeks without a re tightening. I'm so glad I scheduled the re tightening for every 4 weeks. One thing that's been annoying me is my scalp is super itchy. But that's nothing new I usually have an itchy scalp and have never been able to figure out why. I think it's just dryness. And with not being able to use conditioner right now it's even worse then usual. I got some elastic headbands from Walmart and I really like the way the look in my hair, I would say they are my favorite way of styling my hair right now. I will take a pic the next time I wear one and post it.

I have already gotten comments from people that they like my hair which is great! It's nice to hear positive feedback. I feel totally at peace with my hair for once in my life. I just know in my heart that I made the best decision for it that I've ever made. Even though I'm excited for my SL's to get long quickly I think I will enjoy them at all lengths.

My sisterlock journey has begun!

My sisterlocks have been done and I'm ready for my new hair! Can't wait for it to start growing. It didn't take long at all. Only 16 hours. A few bloggers spoke of 25 hours or more to get their locks put in. Now I just have to wait for them to grow and mature. I'm sure some of them will slip and come undone but that's o.k, I'm going to go for a re tightening in 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks. My hair grows quickly so I'll probably need to go every 4 weeks for the first year.

One thing about my new locks that my husband thought was cool was that when I took off my quad helmet I didn't have helmet hair! My hair looked the same! That's a sisterlock bonus.

I'm going to go to walmart and get some spongy curlers so that I can curl it and style it. It looks a little funny with the ends looking so straight because of the texturizer I had in my hair. I figured if I curled it I might have a nicer look. I will post pics of the finished style.
